My name is Lily Hawkins and I am a Melbourne-based multi-disciplinary designer, marketer & creative with a passion for big thinking, pushing the envelope, intentional design and close attention to detail. Coming from a two-prong background of design education and marketing work, including experience with creative direction, I have a melting pot of skills that I am seeking to put into play with a creative role in Melbourne’s arts & culture sector.

Marketing, Communications & Design Manager | Hellenic Museum
Sole end-to-end marketing, communications and design for Australia’s only Hellenic Museum. Development and execution of marketing and communications campaigns for over 13 exhibitions and 60 public programs in a period of 2.5 years, in addition to always-on brand marketing.

Marketing Support Officer | Museums Victoria
Broad spectrum marketing support to Museums Victoria’s core Marketing and Brand team. Including but not limited to social media management and reporting for Melbourne Museum channels; community management; development of the Museum at Home digital pivot offer; low level campaign planning and execution including stakeholder relationship management for partnered programs; planning and execution support for Marketing Managers on high level campaigns; assistance with brand project; ad hoc copywriting, design and other creative assistance.

Visual Merchandiser & eCommerce Copywriter | Museums Victoria Store
Visual merchandising services for bricks and mortar location at Melbourne Museum, including development of feature window displays complete with sign painted or vinyl decal murals on glass. Assistance with the initial launch of Museums Victoria Store eCommerce platform including product copywriting for all products in the launch range, assistance with brand tone of voice and photography/product direction.

Communications Officer | RMIT University Student Union
Oversight of RUSU’s Communications Department including all marketing, communications and design activities. Management of digital channels including web and social media. Development of official communications on behalf of the Union President, often developed in partnership with management at RMIT University. Marketing for union advocacy campaigns and events. Management of RUSU brand on all collateral, including coordination of a limited logo revision for the union’s 75th anniversary. Management of the editorial team and final oversight of student publication Catalyst Magazine. Ex-officio board member of RMITV.

Design Intern | The Emerging Writers’ Festival Gazette
A three week internship on the EWF Gazette, a daily newspaper chronicling the annual Emerging Writers’ Festival for its duration, run by Bowen Street Press and RMIT University in collaboration with EWF. Part of a design team of six, who developed the newspaper’s look and feel for the year, including a style guide document for brand consistency during daily shift handover. Completed four front page feature illustrations as well as a suite of supplementary artwork throughout the three weeks, in addition to layout, typesetting and print management of the daily issue.
